General Partner

Estonian Railway Ltd., which in 2010 celebrates its 140 anniversary, restored its public status in 2007, and is presently the largest railway company in Estonia. The company operates the track as long as 1300 kilometres. The condition of the infrastructure allows operate extra heavy rolling stock. AS Estonian Railways operates powerful locomotives which may pull trains weighing up to 8000 tons.

In 2009 Ltd. Estonian Railways became a concern of two subsidiaries. AS EVR Infra is engaged in infrastructure management and maintenance of infrastructure, while AS EVR Cargo deals with freight transport.

The objective of Estonian Railways Ltd. is to provide efficient logistics, hire best professionals, and develop flexible tariff policy and marketing strategies to be based on trust, which altogether allows the company provide global freight service of international standards.

Strategic Partner

Port of Tallinn is the biggest port authority in Estonia and as far as both cargo and passenger traffic are taken into account, the biggest port on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Port of Tallinn is a limited liability company, with the Republic of Estonia owning 100% of its shares and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications managing the shares.

Today, Port of Tallinn operates as a landlord type of port with no cargo handling operations of its own. It is maintaining and developing the infrastructure of the port and leasing territories to terminal operators through building titles giving the operators an incentive to invest into superstructure and technology.

Port of Tallinn consists of five constituent harbours:

  • Muuga Harbour
  • Old City Harbour
  • Paljassaare Harbour
  • Paldiski South Harbour
  • Saaremaa Harbour

All harbours are navigable all the year round and easily approachable with depths of up to 18 meters enabling them to receive all vessels able to pass the Danish Straits.

With its location on the south coast of the Finnish Gulf in the Baltic Sea, Port of Tallinn is ideally placed for cargo trans-shipments between Western Europe and Russia. Harbours possess different infrastructure offering a possibility to handle practically every type of cargo - general cargo, containers, ro-ro, bagged goods, dry bulk cargo, liquid cargo etc.

On the other hand the port is also known as one of the busiest passenger ports in the Baltic region, serving both line and cruise passengers

Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant

Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (NEVZ) is the largest producer of main line electric freight and passenger locomotives, industrial electric locomotives and tractor units, as well as spare parts for all previously produced types of electric locomotives.
Over the years of the plant’s existence, over 15,000 locomotives of more than 40 types have left its assembly lines.
The enterprise is a unique engineering complex, with huge mechanic processing, electrotechnical and welding facilities, and its own metallurgy and assembly site.
