The main purpose of the International Geopolitical Symposium "1520: Strategic Dialogue” is to discuss the prospects of the development of Russian transport system as a major instrument to allow achieve geopolitical objectives, of which the issues related to the formulation and implementation of an integrated transport policy of the "1520 Area" have the priority. The main purpose of the International Geopolitical Symposium "1520: Strategic Dialogue” is to discuss the prospects of the transport development of Russia as a major instrument to achieve geopolitical objectives, among which the formulation and implementation of an integrated transport policy in “the 1520 Area” would be one of the priority issues. It is impossible to efficiently deal with the tasks that make up the geopolitical agenda of the International Symposium "1520: Strategic Dialogue" without the consolidation of efforts of relevant representatives of government, business and society. Multilateral dialogue would become a meaningful response to the intellectual challenge, which is the need for a comprehensive study and discussion of modern transport development in its relationship with domestic and foreign affairs. The priorities for transport policy of "the 1520 Area", geopolitical and socio-economic aspects of the development of international transport corridors, the prospects for bridging the existing gap between the socio-political scientific knowledge and real transport policy of the state, integrative potential of the Russian Railways in the task of international cooperation development are the issues to be dealt at the Symposium through the prism of political analysis. The symposium will bring together representatives of relevant legislative and executive authorities of "the 1520 Area", of the scientific and expert community, heads of major Russian corporations, companies operating in CIS and Baltic states.
