On behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, I welcome the participants and guests of the 6th International Railway Business Forum “Strategic Partnership 1520”. An event of such a high level attests to the growing interest of the representatives of government bodies and the world business community in the development of the railway sector in the 1520 gauge states, the processes of its integration in the world transport network and, consequently, expanded cooperation between the states of Europe and Asia. The annual specialised railway forum has become a good tradition and is important both for business circles and for government. The Russian Ministry of Transport closely follows the discussions at the forum as it considers it to be the optimal format for establishing a constructive dialogue between business and government bodies aimed at attracting investments to the railway transport, modernising railways and harmonising legal issues. I wish the participants in the forum fruitful work and success.
