On behalf of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, I would like to congratulate you on the start of the Third International Regional Rail Business Forum Strategic Partnership 1520: Baltic Region. The key tasks of the Russian transport complex are to achieve reliable and regular freight and passenger carriage, improve the quality of transport services rendered to freighters and tap the country’s huge transit potential through the cooperation and integration with the transport systems of other states. I am confident that the III International Regional Rail Business Forum Strategic Partnership 1520: Baltic Region will enable the participants to exchange experience and develop a consolidated position aimed at seeking effective ways of tackling the tasks facing the country in developing the transport sector.
